			<summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I been so happy with smart-serv.net that I donated some money to the Freebsd foundation. I&#039;ve been using freebsd for a long time now and enjoy not wiping out my hard drive anymore from silly mistakes. I&#039;ve been able to run phpbb(bullenboard), elgg(social network), unrealircd, simpleid(open-id), and recently Plone a CMS; but not fully yet. </p><p>Without smart-serv.net none of this could have been affordable or possible.</p><p>Thanks smart-serv.net </p><p>PS: Unix commands can wipe out your webspace so handle rm -r ../ somefile (missed a space) with care.<br />and&nbsp; back-up</p>]]></summary>

			<summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I explained the idea to Jeremy in the IRC channel but I am posting it here as an idea.</p><p>Basically what I want to be able to do is to sync or clone the records from one domain to another provided only the .com/.net/.whatever at the very end is different.&nbsp; &nbsp;I want to make sure that there is an option where you can choose to clone or not clone the record(s) and also that they would be sent to the httpd if there is a site hosted with Smart Serv.</p>]]></summary>

			<summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Hello <br />Not many people to talk to about this so I thought to write it down somewhere.</p><p>On May 17th I prepaid for a .co domain name. Just before I paid for it I notice that it not all that easy and I would have to wait untill July 20th. Well I went ahead and paid for it early knowing I might not be the only one wanting this domain name community.co but it was available at the time.</p><p>To my relief a aution never happened because that what would have been the next step. However this domain name never became unavailable on July 20th. So I&#039;m now just sitting and waiting to see if someone is going to offer my money back $45 from sibername so I can argue about this a bit.<br />______________________________________<br />Any idea&#039;s about getting this domain name?</p>]]></summary>

The cause of the outage is under investigation and a solution for future will be implemented when the cause is revealed.</p><p>We are going to schedule a maintenance window this Monday (July 26, 2010) to patch the kernel for a recent vulnerability, the reboot should last no longer than a few moments. 			<summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>After enabling the new loopback feature under settings in SmartPanel, I noticed my reverse DNS had been changed back to a smart-serv.net address. Then when attempting to change it back to an eclipseirc.com address it changed back again. (Either that or javascript flaked out in the ajax popup). </p><p>My RDNS is now successfully changed back though I&#039;m not sure why it defaulted in the first place. 			<summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>We are proud to announce a new feature in beta state, shell customers can now take advantage of the loopback interface using their own loopback ip address. There are a few benefits to this including linking services across the loopback interface limiting public access.</p><p>This is provided as an opt-in service, so you need to enable the feature if you would like to use it. To enable this you may log into SmartPanel, the Settings icon is now clickable and this is where you will find the enable/disable for Loopback Address, after enabling for the first time when you visit the Settings screen again it will display your assigned loopback address.</p>]]></summary>

			<summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Starting on Friday, 5/28/10, if you use SSL for your email, you may have noticed that it was prompting you that our SSL Certificate had expired. </p><p>Well tonight (05/31/10) we installed a new set of certs, with our signing Certificate Authority changing to CACert (<a href="http://www.cacert.org">http://www.cacert.org</a>), from a previous self-signed certificate. 			<summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I&#039;ve had my fair share of shell providers in the past, and Smart-serv has really been one of the best.&nbsp; Any downtime is very rare, and always explained if anything will happen.&nbsp; Also, the account activation and set up was painless and happened very quickly.&nbsp; </p><p>The part that really sets them apart for me, is how if you go and ask a question to the staff members via the fourm or chat room, you are given a correct and fast answer with out being tormented with a &quot;you are stupid&quot; tone that usually happens elsewhere.</p><p>I plan on being a customer here for a long time to come. The staff really makes the difference. </p><br /><p>If you are looking for a place to host your website, or irc or shell account, this is the place.</p>]]></summary>
